Korea in the Rugby World Cup

Korea didn't participate in the Rugby World Cup while Japan has been the only nation representing Asia since the first world cup. However, Korean rugby is partially involved in the RWC in other ways.

A journalist from Chosun Daily, the biggest news paper in Korea, came to Auckland to write about QF matches. It is a rare opportunity in Korea that Rugby covers almost full page of the new paper.

Tom and Jodie, cycling 30,000km from Twickenham Stadium to Eden Park, have been recieved a Korea national team jersey 8 months after they visited Korea. The jersey along with other 27 nations is displayed at Ponsonby Rugby Club, a 135 year old Rugby Club in Aucland. See more information
