Welcome back Korea rugby!!

After the stirring performance aginst HK an dthe gutsy first 70 minutes v Japan, I have decided to remove the sombre black background on this blog. Hitherto, we'd been mourning the death of Korean rugby but the Hong Kong game changed everything. Korea dont know when to defend or when to close a game down....they just attack! And boy, the new young back line looks the part (see video below).

Meanwhile, pointers for the future; FITNESS!! Look how slow the Korea forwards are at getting back behind the ball in defence....if they could find an extra ten minutes of intensity per game, they would be comfortable runners up in the A5N....

Moran and Sujin stations are closest. If you take a taxi, show this (성남종합운동장) to the driver.

This is another stadium in Seongnam, so please don't be confussed with Tancheon Stadium.

Expat rugby thrives in Korea

According to a knowledgable source, Foreign Rugby is booming in Korea with  5 foreign and 5 Military teams who meet regularly at 3-4 week intervals in an annual 10s league.

Last w/e there was a 2 day, 28 game 10s tourno at Jamwon……in probably the worst April weather ever.

Bowl won by Misawa and Cup by Survivorss,after a hard fought 10-5 Final versus Cheongju(teachers) .

MARCH 25th was the first session and the usual scope is : Sunday morning 09.00 to 11.00, Dulwich school (thanks again to them for hosting our team), black shirts for everybody, warming, training, playing, a lot of sweat (no tears) and fun for all !
